Come along and learn the basics of weaving. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience, join us for a relaxed Friday evening session at Atelier by Sea in Brighton, set against the energy of the seafront.
Our Friday Social workshop is a chance to slow down for a couple of hours, meet other craft-minded people and explore weaving together.
We’ll be using table looms and looking at examples of off-loom weaving, drawing inspiration from the surrounding Downs and sea. You’ll also work with naturally dyed yarns, coloured here in Sussex.
Suitable for all levels, this is a space to play, take risks and reconnect with making in an easy, low-pressure way. Come along, have a drink and enjoy creating in the middle of a lively Friday night.
Led by Emma O’Neill. Tickets include materials and refreshments.
The Setting
This workshop takes place at Atelier Beside the Sea, an arts venue set within three of Brighton’s iconic King’s Road Arches between the Palace and West Piers. It offers a vibrant programme of art and craft designed to inspire both locals and visitors.
