Whether complete beginners or seasoned creatives, participants leave with new skills, great prints and inky fingers.

About the Artist
Tom Boulton is a letterpress printer, typographic artist and published author of Letterpress – a creative guide to printmaking, working from his workshop on the south coast of England. Through his studio Type Tom, he brings traditional printing roaring back to life with vintage presses, antique wood type, bold colour and plenty of ink-covered enthusiasm.

Having worked with leading names including Tate Modern, Fortnum & Mason, Southbank Centre, The Design Museum, and winner on a D&D award Tom now shares his passion through lively, hands-on workshops that get people printing from the very start. Expect ink, creativity and a healthy obsession with all things typography.

The Setting

This workshop takes place at Atelier Beside the Sea, an arts venue set within three of Brighton’s iconic King’s Road Arches between the Palace and West Piers. It offers a vibrant programme of art and craft designed to inspire both locals and visitors.
