Lino Cut Print Christmas Cards with Evie O'Neill and Sarah Arnett - 27 November
Friday 27th November 2026
10.30am–4pm
The Little Picture Palace
The Workshop
Come and spend a wonderfully creative day designing, carving and printing your very own collection of Christmas cards!
Lino printing is a traditional relief printmaking technique where you carve a design into a piece of lino, roll ink onto the surface and print your image onto paper or card. It's a lovely process, combining drawing, pattern and a little bit of printmaking magic!
We'll spend the morning developing your designs, taking inspiration from nature, pattern and the beautiful surroundings of The Little Picture Palace
After lunch, Evie will guide you through transferring your drawing onto lino, carving your design and printing your own collection of unique Christmas cards.
You'll leave with a beautiful set of handmade cards, ready to send to friends and family.
A little extra inspiration from Sarah!
Evie has been working with Sarah over the past year as part of her internship and exhibited her own work at Sarah's Open House last May.
Sarah will be joining us for the day, so you'll have the opportunity to chat with both artists about their creative practices, ideas and techniques.
She'll also be bringing along pieces from her studio, plenty of inspiration and even some gold leaf to help you add a little extra sparkle and make your Christmas cards really special!
And please don't worry if you've never tried lino printing before! There will be lots of help, encouragement and inspiration throughout the day. The idea is to enjoy experimenting, learn something new and have a lovely time doing it.
Tickets include lunch, homemade cake and all materials
About Evie
Evie O'Neill is a textile designer currently studying Textile Design, specialising in knit, print and weave, alongside business studies at the University of Brighton.

And a little Christmas shopping too!
As an extra treat, you'll have the opportunity to explore The Little Picture Palace, Sarah's award-winning Open House.
The house will be filled with original art, jewellery, ceramics, clothing, textiles and beautiful handmade gifts from the wonderful collection of artists, designers and makers exhibiting this winter.
So, a whole day of making, chatting to artists, enjoying a delicious lunch, eating homemade cake and perhaps getting a little Christmas shopping done too.
What could be nicer!
