The Workshop
Lino printing is a relief printmaking technique where you carve a design into a sheet of linoleum, roll ink onto the raised surface, and press it onto cards.
In this workshop we will spend the morning designing your image for your Valentine cards, then after lunch we will teach you how to transfer this image to lino , after carving your image you will then be able to print your image to produce a unique set of Christmas cards.
Tickets include lunch and materials.
The Artist
Evie O’Neill is a textiles designer who is currently studying textiles design/Knit, Print Weave and business studies at Brighton University.
Evie’s main point of inspiration is nature within Sussex, using this as a starting point, and reproducing it in a stylised and modern way. Evie specialises in Print using lino cut and screen printing to create her work
The Setting
This workshop takes place at Lewes Castle, a medieval castle in the heart of the town.
